Aerial Fitness
Participants ages 5 years to adult with little or no experience to those with intermediate skill levels will benefit from this anti-gravity Aerial Hammock Fitness program. This program incorporates elements of VaihAyasa-based yoga, Pilates, dance, aerobics and Cirque to deepen stretches, relieve joint pressure, spinal compression and tension, realign the body, increase balance, bodily awareness and core strength. Aerial Fitness improves posture and helps create new brain body connections and has a special focus on 3-dimensional movement, conditioning, joint rotation and mobility. Variations to the class curriculum such as silk (intermediate), aerial-barre or low hammock provide different levels of challenge designed for toning, strengthening, or stretching. Aerial Bungee Fitness combines elements of cardio, LIIT and HIIT (Low or High-Intensity Interval Training) with resistance and plyometric exercises without joint damage and is ideal for all fitness levels. While harnessed into a professionally weighted bungee cord suspended from the ceiling, participants experience a zero-gravity, upbeat, low-impact full-body workout through fun and easy dance-based combinations that integrate cardio exercises that include lunges, squats, burpees, jumps and even floor diving!
Tumbling
For the past 14 years, this recreation program has steadily expanded, providing pre-beginner to intermediate-level students (ages 14 months to 14 years) with the opportunity to master a diverse range of tumbling, artistic, acrobatic, and rhythmic skills. Our program is designed to nurture growth and development fostering both skill and confidence in a supportive environment. The Tumble Bugs program (ages 14 months-3.5 years) is child-led with parent participation. The instructor will begin introducing basic tumbling skills preparing them for the structured youth tumbling program. The beginning youth tumbling program (3.5-11 yrs) emphasizes tumbling skills (rolls, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings, etc.) but also incorporates low beam, bar and vaulting. The intermediate teen/preteen tumbling program (8-14 yrs) focuses on fine-tuning fundamental tumbling skills and will teach next-level skills such as handsprings, aerials, etc. Students will need to try out for this class before enrolling-- please contact us to schedule a time.
Dance
This popular dance program offers students (ages 2.5-17 years) with little to no experience through the competitive level an opportunity to learn various dance style techniques through combination format dance classes. Our comprehensive, ballet-based curriculum provides a structured approach to learning multiple dance styles within a single class. Instructors use teaching aids and incentives to engage dancers, emphasizing an efficient and effective approach to skill development through barre exercises, center work, across-the-floor combinations, and age-appropriate choreographed routines.
The program incorporates ballet fundamentals in all dance genre instruction, teaching vocabulary and etiquette as well as reinforcing proper technique and new skill development. This program assists with self-confidence, artistic expression, strength, flexibility, and musicality.
